As an Engineering Technologist, my work is very much technical. I have always had an interest in nature, the outdoors, and how things work (both mechanical and natural) so the combination of camera equipment with my interests in nature and the outdoors seemed, well, natural.
I spend much of my photographic time on the Saskatchewan and Alberta prairie using Sony and Minolta gear. Whenever possible, I use graduated filters, and a polarizing filter, to try and obtain the best in camera copy of the scene. Other than being outdoors, the next best part about photography is print making, using an Epson printer and Epson inks to produce archival prints.
Some of the prairie spaces I have come to know well, allowing my work to be published in magazines such as Prairies North, SkyNews, Outdoor Photography Canada, and various tourism products.
